A traditional DC motor wraps its copper windings around an iron rotor core. In contrast, a coreless motor features a self-supporting skewed copper coil that rotates around a fixed magnet system inside the stator. By removing the heavy iron core, we eliminate rotor iron losses (eddy currents) and cogging torque. This results in faster response times, higher efficiency, and exceptionally smooth speed control.
